• It’s too warm for this season of the year – слишком тепло для этого времени года (в данном случае too сочетается с прилагательным и стоит перед ним) • I’m too upset to discuss it now – я слишком расстроен. чтобы обсуждать это сейчас (здесь также за too следует прилагательное) • He’s too happy to notice anything – он слишком счастлив, чтобы замечать что-либо (здесь too также предшествует прилагательному) • You are speaking too loudly. – ты говоришь слишком громко (после too следует наречие) • He runs too quickly.

Too часто используется с другими наречиями меры и степени, а именно, с many / much и little, образуя словосочетание too many или too much, что на русский язык переводится как «слишком много», и too little, которое будет, соответственно, означать «слишком мало».

• He knows too much about you — он знает слишком много о вас. • It is too little to take a decision – этого слишком мало, чтобы принимать решение.

• Is your coat warm enough? (после прилагательного) • There is enough salt in the salad – в салате достаточно соли ( перед существительным) • I didn’t have enough money to buy that book — у меня не было достаточно денег, чтобы купить ту книгу (перед существительным) • Does she know the subject well enough?

• Add some salt if you think there is not enough – добавьте немного соли, если вы думаете, что ее (соли) недостаточно (существительное после enough отсутствует)
